SOCIAL REVOLT
This project started on October 18th, 2019, the day massive protests sparkled nationwide in Chile after the current government announced days before a third consecutive fare increase for the subway.
Enormous systematic repression towards demonstrators was the response of Sebastian Piñera’s administration. Traversing through street and conflict photography, this documentary body of work aims to display the awakening and reuniting of the people of Chile claiming for justice, dignity, and a new constitution, while denouncing the human rights violations committed by state agents at that time.
The record of this project ends on January 15th, 2021, when the police brutally attacks Pablo just for carrying a camera, leaving him today with impaired mobility.
